Beautiful Malice – Rebecca James

Beautiful Malice – Rebecca James (Alfabeta, 2011)

Cover of "Beautiful Malice" - The Swedish Edition

Beautiful Malice is a dark tale of love and loss, but foremost, about crime and companionship. It also sheds light on media’s part in and surrounding nationally recognized crime court cases.

Early on in the book, we find out that Katherine is pregnant, that her little sister has been murdered, and that Katherine didn’t attend a funeral of a certain girl called Alice, and that Katherine didn’t really feel bad about it. There is something that is just not right about that girl Alice…

The author, Rebecca James, has already been compared to the likes of J.K. Rowling and Stephenie Meyer. And I can see why. Not only does the plot and its character, remind of something gothic in a teenager kind of way, but it is also the author’s own life story that fascinates both readers and publishers all around the globe. Since I do not want to spoil the plot, I suggest you read about the author’s life right here – http://www.rebeccajamesbooks.com/

The cover of Beautiful Malice should scream: “Be prepared for a non-stop, no-sleep session” in big, red, bold letters. Once you have started reading this book, I guarantee you that you will not be able to stop reading until you have finished. And that, my friends, is a good thing.
